About Us

Welcome,

I'm glad you came to visit us.

I help dogs and their humans live happy lives.

My life changed when I decided to find a very special dog, just for me.

I began my dog search while sitting on a park bench watching a parade of delightful dogs and their humans walking two miles around a local lake.

One of the dogs had a bright sense-of-self, and was in-sync with his human. The human gushed over her dog, and told me he was a Cockapoo--a mix between a Poodle and a Cocker Spaniel. I felt wonderful, I had a place to start.

I used www.petfinder.com to search for my dog. When I found a dog that interested me, I sent an email to the shelter telling them about my lifestyle and asking if that particular dog might find my home an enjoyable fit.

It took about a month of serious searching to find the right dog for me. When I did, I drove 4 hours down to Anderson, South Carolina to pick up Krystal from a private shelter. Krystal is half West Highland Terrier and half Poodle. A Westie-Poo, who has inherited the best of both breeds.

It's been one adventure after another with Krystal. I never would have thought that she would make me smile and laugh and sing every day.

My hope is that more dogs and their humans have lives that make them happy. There are so many challenges in life today, doggie happiness can bring unbelievable gifts to each of us.

This blog offers you doses of doggie happiness to celebrate our love for our dogs. We also chronicle experiences of living life in a doggish manner.

I began my Internet career when my photo was posted on Petfinder.com. That's how Kaye found me.

Now, I'm an old hand at this Internet stuff. I sit on Kaye's lap while we chat with our pack members, blog, email, and search for wonderful gifts for dogs.

Did ya'll know Kaye and I have received awards for our Internet work? Yes, indeed. TypePad named this very blog a "Featured Weblog" in March 2008.

We've also received awards for work we've done on other websites. In 2007 Squidoo awarded us Honorable Mention for Lens of the Year. And in 2006, Kaye received international recognition from ePhilanthropy for how she used the Internet to recruit eVolunteers and to distribute educational information.

I'll make sure ya'll will hear a dog's point of view every so often. Just so you know, my mission in life is to spread happiness and joy. Aaaarrrfff! Aaaarrrfff! Aaaaarrrfff! Yip! Yip! Yip!

P.S. I'm a West Highland Terrier/Poodle mix.
